Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) | Devkhatiy

Find comprehensive, authoritative answers to common questions regarding Rudraksha authenticity, wearing rituals, shipping, returns, and crystal maintenance.

1. How can I be confident that Devkhatiy Rudraksha and gemstones are 100% genuine?

Every Rudraksha bead and gemstone offered by Devkhatiy is ethically sourced from verified origin lands (Eastern Nepal for Rudraksha; Jaipur and accredited lapidaries for crystals). Each premium bead and bracelet is backed by an individual lab test report and authenticity checklist verifying natural seed cavities, density, and absence of synthetic resin or carved tampering.

2. What is the Pran Pratishtha (Energization) process, and is my item ready to wear upon arrival?

Yes. All Devkhatiy sacred items undergo traditional Vedic Pran Pratishtha rituals performed by experienced Brahmin priests before packing. The energization includes Gangajal cleansing, sacred Beej Mantra chanting (e.g., 'Om Namah Shivaya', 'Om Hreem Namah'), and satvik dhoop offerings. When your package arrives, your item is ready to wear immediately, or you can perform a personal prayer before putting it on.

3. Can anyone wear a Rudraksha or crystal bracelet, or is an astrological horoscope check required?

Universally auspicious beads like 5 Mukhi Rudraksha, Tulsi Mala, 7 Chakra bracelets, and Pyrite can be worn by anyone regardless of gender, age, religion, or zodiac sign. They have zero adverse astrological side effects. For specialized higher mukhis (such as 7 Mukhi for Saturn/Shani or specific Navagraha gemstones like Blue Sapphire or Red Coral), consulting your birth chart is recommended. Our team can help review your birth details free of cost.

4. What are the rules (niyams) regarding food, non-veg, and alcohol when wearing sacred beads?

Vedic traditions recommend maintaining a satvik lifestyle (vegetarian diet, abstaining from alcohol) while wearing sacred beads. If you do consume non-vegetarian food or alcohol, it is customary to respectfully take off your mala or bracelet, place it safely on your home altar, and put it back on the next morning after a clean bath and prayer.

5. Can women wear Rudraksha during their menstrual cycle?

Yes. The ancient Shiva Purana and Shrimad Devi Bhagavatam explicitly state that Rudraksha is a universal divine blessing for all human beings, with no gender-based restrictions. You can wear your Rudraksha with reverence at all times.

6. Can I wear my Rudraksha or gemstone bracelet while bathing or sleeping?

We recommend removing your bracelet or mala before taking a bath with hot water and chemical soaps. Harsh detergents and chlorine can dry out the natural oils in organic Rudraksha beads and oxidize silver or Pyrite minerals. Similarly, removing it before sleep prevents accidental pulling or tension on the string.

7. How long does shipping take across India, and what are the delivery charges?

Orders are processed and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours from our Jaipur hub. Delivery typically takes 4 to 6 business days across all major Indian metros and 5 to 7 days for tier-2 and tier-3 towns. We provide 100% Free Delivery on all orders across India.

8. Do you provide Cash on Delivery (COD)?

Yes! Cash on Delivery (COD) is available across over 19,000 serviceable Indian pincodes. You can inspect the tamper-proof sealed courier package and pay cash or UPI upon delivery to the courier partner.

9. What is Devkhatiy's 7-Day Return and Exchange Policy?

10. How do I cleanse and recharge my energy crystals (Pyrite, Citrine, Amethyst) at home?

Cleanse crystals by placing them under gentle early morning sunlight (15-20 minutes) or overnight under the Full Moon. You can also smudge them with sacred Frankincense (Loban), sandalwood dhoop, or camphor smoke. Note: Do NOT soak metallic stones like Pyrite in water as iron sulfide can tarnish or rust.

11. What should I do if my Rudraksha or sacred bracelet thread breaks over time?

If a natural bead string breaks naturally after months of wear, Vedic lore suggests it has absorbed a cycle of negative energy. You can re-string the beads on clean thread or silver wire and re-energize them with Gangajal and Beeja Mantras. If a bead itself cracks or shatters, it should be respectfully immersed in a flowing sacred river or buried under holy soil near a Tulsi plant.
